About Dr. Qureshi:
Dr. Qureshi was born in Houston Texas and spent his childhood in Sugar Land. He attended the University of Houston where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He went on to attain his doctorate of medicine (M.D.) degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal medicine at Texas Tech. During residency he received numerous awards including resident of the year and resident teaching awards and was called upon to serve as Chief Resident during his final year of residency.
He returned to his hometown of Houston where completed his fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the renowned Houston Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in the Texas Medical Center, ranked among the Top 10 programs by the U.S News and World Report. He also trained at Texas Children’s Hospital as well as UT MD Anderson Cancer Center during his fellowship.
Dr. Qureshi loves to travel and go running during his spare time.

During residency, Dr. Qureshi presented at multiple national conferences including the American College of Physicians and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Qureshi completed fellowship training at The Houston Methodist Hospital in Clinical Endocrinology. During fellowship, he presented at various national meetings including Endocrine Society’s Metabolic bone disease Conference, the American Thyroid Association’s 2018 annual meeting in Washington DC, Endocrine Society’s 2019 annual meeting in New Orleans, as well as American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists 2019 annual meeting in Los Angeles.
