Dr. Shipman, MD

About Dr. Shipman:

Hope Shipman, MD graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, in December 1977. She received her M.D. from The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston Medical School in 1982. She completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas, followed by a Fellowship in Endocrinology at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

Dr. Shipman is board certified in Endocrinology and in Internal Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. In addition, she is a member of The Endocrine Society, the Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.

Working with other medical groups or as a solo practitioner, Dr. Shipman has practiced Endocrinology continuously since 1987. She joined The Endocrine Center Houston in 2018.

A native Texan, Dr. Shipman is married with two children. She enjoys many hobbies including gardening, swimming, scuba diving, and singing in her church choir. She and her husband volunteer their time with the nonprofit organization, Better Marriages.
