Christina Michaelis, MD, is a board certified physician specializing in endocrinology and metabolism at The Endocrine Center. Dr. Michaelis practices with the team of endocrinology, diabetes, and thyroid specialists at the practice’s Main Campus and Methodist West locations in Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Michaelis was born and raised in the Houston area and is happy to be serving the community in which she was raised. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She continued at UT Southwestern Medical Center for her residency in internal medicine and later completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  

At The Endocrine Center, Dr. Michaelis enjoys treating patients with a wide variety of medical conditions, particularly diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and osteoporosis. She also has a special interest in thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer after spending a year during her fellowship doing research on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
